《iET Facebook 英語學堂》 第32周 : Bundle Up

天文台預料一道冷鋒周六抵港 ，氣溫跌至19℃ ，避免著涼 、身體不適 (“Under the Weather” ，《iET英語學堂》第11周) 的最佳方法當然是多穿衣服保暖 ，除了說 “put on more clothes” 之外 ，一個比較簡短的説法是 “bundle up” 。

“Bundle”(動詞Verb, 發音「賓度」)是「捆」、「包裹」的意思 ，廣東話也有「包到隻糭咁」 ， 所以不難掌握 “Bundle up” 的解釋和用法。被動式“Be bundled up”比較常見,把自己包得暖暖的 ， 亦可爲別人添衣 —— “bundle somebody up” ，夠體貼細心 。

例子1：

I’ll be bundled up this weekend when the cold front arrives.

例子2：

Homestay Mom: It is cold outside, please put on your jacket.

Tom: I’m sweating.  I don’t want to be bundled up.
